A trademark application should not come with an hourly surprise. Every Rightsy registration package has one posted flat fee for one application in any number of classes; the USPTO's own fee ($350 per class for a standard electronic application) is not included and is paid by you separately, invoiced before filing. You search first, free, so you never pay to file a name that is already taken.
The packages
Prices are live from the catalogue. USPTO fees are not included in any package and are paid separately. The legal work is performed by MC Law, PLLC, an independent law firm; Rightsy is the software platform.
- Trademark Registration — Economic — $249 flat fee: One application prepared and filed by an attorney at MC Law, PLLC, with the goods/services identification drafted for you; serial number and receipt sent to you; status alerts at every milestone. No search, no office-action responses.
- Trademark Registration — Business — $559 flat fee: Everything in Economic plus a knockout clearance search with a written report, so conflicts are spotted before you pay a USPTO fee. Office-action responses are quoted separately if one issues.
- Trademark Registration — Professional — $1,549 flat fee: Everything in Business plus routine office-action responses (disclaimers, classification, specimen issues) and one Statement of Use for intent-to-use filings, with twelve months of watch service.
- Trademark Registration — Executive — $2,499 flat fee: Full prosecution of one application start to finish — every office action, including §2(d) and §2(e) refusals, the Statement of Use and up to five extension requests — with twelve months of watch service and priority support.
How it works
- Search your mark. Run a free knockout search across 13 million federal records. The trademarks tab answers 'can I use this name?' before you spend a dollar.
- Answer five minutes of questions. Who owns the mark, what you sell, whether you are already using it. We classify your goods and services and prepare the USPTO forms.
- An attorney files and we monitor. An attorney at MC Law, PLLC prepares, signs and files the application as attorney of record. Every office action, publication and registration milestone is tracked and you are told what it means.

Questions
How much does it cost to register a trademark?
The USPTO charges $350 per class of goods or services for a standard electronic application; that fee goes entirely to the government, is not included in any package and is paid by you separately before filing. The package fee is the posted price — from $249 for Economic to $2,499 for Executive — covers one application in any number of classes, and never changes after you order.
Do I need a lawyer to register a trademark?
US applicants are not required to use one; foreign-domiciled applicants are. Either way, an attorney at MC Law, PLLC prepares and files every Rightsy application, which materially lowers the chance of a fatal mistake.
How long does registration take?
Most applications take eight to fourteen months from filing to registration. The USPTO examines around month six to eight; if no refusals issue and no one opposes, registration follows publication.
Intent-to-use or use-in-commerce?
If you are already selling under the mark, file use-in-commerce. If you intend to use it but have not launched, file intent-to-use to lock in an earlier priority date and submit a specimen later.
