Rightsy is the tool we wished existed — paired with flat-fee services delivered by independent attorneys.

Why we started
Thirteen million U.S. trademarks sit in public databases that are slow, fragmented, and written for examiners — not founders. Clearing a name meant either paying for an expensive search or guessing. Rightsy began by indexing the USPTO's public bulk data into one fast, searchable platform, then making the next steps — registering, watching, and defending a mark — just as clear.
The same problem runs through every kind of intellectual property, so we kept going: the Copyright Office's registrations joined the index, and the flat-fee catalog grew to cover copyrights, patents, trade secrets, licensing and IP disputes. Patent search is next: the USPTO's granted patents and published applications are joining the index.
What we do
We index the USPTO's trademark applications and registrations, assignment records, and TTAB proceedings and decisions, along with the Copyright Office's registrations, into a continuously refreshed search engine. We pair that data with plain-English guides, organized intake workflows, and flat-fee legal services — trademark and copyright filings, patent applications, trade-secret programs, agreements and enforcement — performed by MC Law, PLLC, an independent law firm we advertise for and connect you with.

Our principles
Flat, posted prices instead of hourly surprises. Government fees passed through at cost and labeled as such. Public data kept public and searchable. And plain English everywhere — intellectual-property law is complicated enough without us adding to it.
