Frequently asked questions
What does RightsyWatcher monitor?
Trademarks, copyrights, domain names and patents (beta). Each sweep checks the federal trademark register (new applications, registrations, TTAB proceedings and assignments), U.S. Copyright Office registrations whose title or claimant carries your name, newly registered domain names, patent records (beta), and brand use on the web, in apps and on social media. You choose which of them each watch covers.
How does copyright watching work?
Rightsy indexes the U.S. Copyright Office's registration catalog. When a new registration's title or claimant carries your watched name, it lands in your watch inbox with the registration number, the kind of work, who claims it and why it matched, and links to the full record.
How often does a watch run?
On the cadence you pick for each watch: daily, weekly or quarterly. Only what is new since the last sweep alerts you; everything already seen stays quiet.
What do I do with a hit?
Every hit is ranked by risk and says why it matched. Dismiss it, snooze it, or escalate it to a cease-and-desist letter, an opposition or a letter of protest in one click.
